Today I had a client meeting. It went really well! I have really been struggling lately with my client meetings, and wanted them to become more personable rather than just me talking about what I do and my prices. This one was about 80% talking about her and 20% talking about my prices/photos. yay! She love my work and thinks my photography is cool, and is pretty much already booked. She had on her facebook status this morning that she was "meeting with my photographer", which I thought was great--the fact that she was already considering me hers before she met me.
anyway, that's all I did. it was good though. well, I also did revise my collections for the millionth time. haha. i'm never satisfied with them. :P

I'm by far no expert when it comes to client meetings, and in actuality I've only had ONE :) But I knew walking in that I wanted it to be be extremely relaxed and personable. We met at Starbuck's and I purposely didn't break out the contract or laptop until we had talked awhile about ourselves, and shared some good laughs. Then the last part of the meeting consisted of getting down to the details. The chick ended up not going with me for her wedding, but we did have an hour and a half long meeting which was really enjoyable. I learned a lot, and I also realized I wouldn't change much.
